म्यूजिक कंपोजर सलिल चौधरी को 30 सालों तक याद रही ये एक धुन, 1961 में बना गीत जो आज भी है हिट 1961 में सुनील दत्त और आशा पारेख की एक फिल्म ‘छाया’ का एक एक ऐसा गाना जिसकी धुन म्यूजिक कंपोजर को 30 सालों तक याद रही। बाद में उन्होंने उस पर ये सुपरहिट गाना बनाया जो आज भी पसंद किया जाता है। साल 1961 में सुनील दत्त और आशा पारेख की एक फिल्म आई थी ‘छाया’। इस फिल्म की कहानी के साथ गाने भी जबरदस्त हिट हुए थे। लेकिन एक ऐसा गाना भी था जिसकी धुन म्यूजिक कंपोजर सलिल चौधरी को 30 सालों से याद थी। इस फिल्म में उन्हें उस धुन को इस्तेमाल करने का मौका मिला और उन्होंने बना दिया उस दौर का सबसे शानदार गीत। हाल में सोशल मीडिया पर भी ये गीत वायरल हुआ था और कई हजारों रील्स बनाई गई थी। उस धुन को याद रखने की कहानी मजेदार है। दरअसल, फिल्म ‘छाया’ के म्यूजिक डायरेक्टर सलिल चौधरी उस समय सिर्फ 13 साल के थे और अपने पिता के साथ असम में अपने पिता के साथ रहा करते थे। उसी दौरान सलिल के पिता के एक दोस्त हुआ करते थे जिनका नाम था डॉक्टर मलोनी जो आयरिश थे। सलिल के पिता और डॉक्टर मालोनी ने साथ में कई साल बिताए। लेकिन ...

Remembering yesteryears popular actress of the Indian & Pakistani Cinema  Meena Shorey on her Death Anniversary : A tribute।  मीना शौरी Meena Shorey (17 November 1921 - 03 September 1989) was an Indian cinema and later Pakistani cinema actress, who worked in Hindi/Urdu and Punjabi films. Credited in films by her mononym, Meena, her real name was Khurshid Jehan. She married to her third husband, Roop K. Shorey by the mid 1940s, she found fame when she acted in her husband's film "Ek Thi Ladki" (1949), opposite actor Motilal. The story was written by I. S. Johar, who also starred in the film. The "foot-tapping" music composed by Vinod became a "huge hit", with Meena becoming an "icon" for the "new liberated" young women. Veteran actor Achyut Potdar, known for his memorable roles in Hindi and Marathi films and television, passed away on August 18, 2025, at the age of 91. He breathed his last at Jupiter Hospital in Thane, where he had been admitted due to health complications. The cause of death has not yet been disclosed. * Jhumka That Fell… and Rose Again.* In 1966, *Mera Saaya* hit the silver screen — a film remembered not only for its mystery and drama, but for one song that would echo across decades: *“Jhumka Gira Re Bareilly Ke Bazaar Mein…”* In the film, the heroine laments losing her earring in the bustling market of Bareilly. A playful piece of cinema magic, nothing more. Or so it seemed. Fast forward 54 years, and Bareilly decided to “return” that missing earring — by building it. Bareilly, a city in Uttar Pradesh, had gained nationwide fame back in 1966 purely because of that one song. In 2020, the Bareilly Development Authority unveiled a grand memorial: a 14-foot-tall, 200-kilogram jhumka, crafted from brass and copper by a Gurgaon artisan, costing ₹18 lakh. Installed at Zero Point on NH-24, the spot is now proudly called *"Jhumka Tiraha”,* and it has quickly become a tourist landmark.
