Song of the Day
Let’s start the day with Rajendra Bhatia’s 1971 drama film *”Paraya Dhan”* directed by Rajendra Bhatia.
The film starred Rakesh Roshan and Hema Malini. They were supported by Balraj Sahni, Jayshree T, Abhi Bhattacharya, Achala Sachdev, Ajit and Om Prakash.
The film was predominantly shot in Kullu Manali and captures it beautifully.
Film.consist of fresh pairing of Rakesh Roshan and Hema Malini.. they both looked stunning together.By the time of its release Hema was already a big star thanks to Johny Mera Naam...while Rakesh was new commer with just one release Ghar Ghar ki Kahani..
One of.the under rated movie of Hindi cinema....film excels.in all department be it story, performance, music, art direction....Movie was ahead of its tiime
The movie is not remembered much today, but its songs were hugely popular those days. I loved listening to the songs of this movie without being aware of the fact that they were from this movie.
Today’s song is sung by Kishore Kumar and Asha Bhonsle. Anand Bakshi is the lyricist and R D Burman is the music director. This song epitomises the music of R D Burman of those days. It is music like this and singing like this with which R D Burman and Kishore Kumar had captured the imagination of the public. What a magical song it is !
This song is not picturised on certain actors like say the hero and the heroine. This song is a background song. Balraj Sahni, Hema Malini etc are seen in happy frame of mind as their village had seen a good harvest and this song gives expression to their joie de vivre.
*"Aao Jhoomen Gaayen"* lyrics by Anand Bakshi, composed by R D Burman and sung by Asha Bhosle & Kishore Kumar 🎤🎵🎶🎧
