Roop Tera Aisa"*

Let’s start the day with Shomu Mukerjee’s 1972 drama film *”Ek Bar Mooskura Do”* directed by Ram Mukerjee.

The film starred Joy Mukerjee, Tanuja and Deb Mukerjee. They were supported by Rajendranath, Iftekhar, Bipin Gupta, Sajjan and Shobhna Samarth.

Film was more of a family production with brother's Joy Mukherjee and Deb Mukherjee as the lead hero's.Tanuja as lead heroine wife of producer Shomu Mukherjee (brother of Joy and Deb).Ram Mukherjee (Father of Rani Mukherjee) cousin to Joy,Shomu and Deb.Shobhna Samarth mother of Tanuja.

This is one of those songs that I had loved listening to during its time without being aware of any of its details. The fact that this song is composed by O P Nayyar will come as a surprise to most music lovers.

The picturisation shows Deb Mukherji, singing this song after losing out his lady love to Joy Mukherji and singing this songduring the wedding of Joy Mukherji. The picturisation will make most people squeamish because the lady in question is Tanuja, the real life bhabhi of both Deb Mukherji and Joy Mukherji. Imagine two brothers playing lovers and husband respectively of their real life bhabhi, with Shomu Mukherji, Tanuja’s husband writing the story and screenplay and producing the movie!

There is more ! All relatives were brought in the movie to watch the spectacle too. The movie is directed by their elder, viz Ram Mukherji. and Shobana Samarth, Tanuja’s mother too appearing in the movie ! And the song is sung by Kishore Kumar, the maternal uncle of the Mukherji brothers !

Well, the movie has come and gone and has been forgotten, but what songs this movie had ! Songs from this movie includes such gems as Sawere ka sooraj tumhaare liye hai , Tu auron ki kyon ho gayi and Ye dil lekar nazraanaa aa gayaa teraa deewaanaa
