Let’s start the day with Rajendra Bhatiya’s 1965 romantic drama film *”Neela Akash”* directed by Rajendra Bhatia. 

The film starred Dharmendra and Mala Sinha. They were supported by Shashikala, Raj Mehra, Madan Puri, Sulochana, Manorama and Mehmood. 

Neela Akash was big hit of the year 1965..

The lead role kept bouncing between Dharmendra and Manoj Kumar. Finally Dharmendra signed the film.

Dharmendra and Mehmood worked together for the first time.

Today’s song is a Rafi Asha Bhonsle duet from “Neela Aakash”(1965). This delightful song is picturised on Dharmendra and Mala Sinha.

Raja Mehdi Ali Khan is the lyricist. Music is composed by Madan Mohan. Just how many great compositions did Madan Mohan compose ?

Madan Mohan demonstrartes that he could create magic not only with Lata, but also with Asha Bhonsle. In fact, it is interesting to realise that the most popular song composed by Madan Mohan in his lifetime was with Asha Bhonsle and that was the song Jhumka gira re Bareli ke bazaar mein from “Mera Saaya”(1966).

Let’s start the day with Prakash Mehra’s 1978 crime action drama  film *”Muqaddar Ka Sikandar”* directed by Prakash Mehra.  The film starred Amitabh Bachchan, Vinod Khanna, Rakhee and Rekha. They were supported by Ranjeet, Nirupa Roy, Kadar Khan, Shreeram Lagoo, Ram Sethi, Goga Kapoor, Sulochana and Amjad Khan.  This was Amitabh Bachchan and Vinod Khanna's final movie together, ending one of the greatest duos in Bollywood. Before Vinod Khanna's passing, he worked with Bachchan's son Abhishek in Players in 2012. The film's set collapse right after they finished shooting. Hearing the loud thud,the cast came all out from their makeup room too see what happened. It was so serious that had any actor been present,they would have not survived.
