A Beautiful Song



“Guzar Jaaye Din Din Din…” is one of the finest of Kishore Kumar & Salil Chowdhury collaboration. The song sounds simple melody but for any singer, the rendition of it could be a difficult one. Such a fantastic composition from Salil Chowdhury and the Bengali music lovers must be aware of the Bengali version of this song “Chole je jay…din din din”. Feelings of life expressed so beautifully by lyricist Yogesh (perhaps based on the original Bengali lyrics from Salil Chowdhury himself) in this poetry and Kishore Kumar did full justice with his brilliant rendition under Salil Chowdhury’s guidance. Kishore Kumar can uplift anyone’s mood with his this fantastic rendition. The on-screen cinematography of this song is such a treat too! A simple village background with Hero (Anil Dhawan) as an ordinary man riding a bicycle and expressing one’s simple expectations from life through this song. Anil Dhawan was good and the other hero who could have done justice is Amol Palekar for such picturization.
