Historical Worship Place

Dear Friends
Sharing a Photo of the Day
Our country is known for historical monuments.
We have a rich cultural heritage with historical background.
All the religions of our country live in harmony as one family.
Today’s photo belongs to one of the Historical Gurudwaras
It is Takhat Sachkhand Shri Hazur Abchalnagar Sahib Nanded, Maharashtra
The gurdwara was built at the place where Guru Gobind Singh Ji
left his earthly life. The inner room of the gurdwara is called the
Angitha Sahib and is built over the place where Guru Gobind Singh
was cremated in 1708.
The gurdwara was built between 1832 and 1837 by the order of
Maharaja Ranjit Singh Ji (1780–1839).
In October 2008, the 300th-anniversary celebration of the
Guru Granth Sahib took place.
This site is now one of five Takhts which are places of
primary importance to the Sikhs.
The other four takhts are: Akal Takhat at Amritsar,
Takhat Keshgarh Sahib at Anandpur, Takhat Patna Sahib in Bihar and
Takhat Damdama Sahib in Talwandi Sabo, Bhatinda, Punjab.
