Title: Wedding Anniversary

Sons and daughters of Ramesh and Anu celebrated their 50 th wedding anniversary

After the celebration, their children and grandchildren took their blessings from them.

Their eldest granddaughter Priya, recently married to a city doctor was upset
about her husband’s job returned back to her parent’s home.

Her complaint was that her husband was not giving attention to her and not
taking her out on a picnic, movies etc.

Elders advised her. But she did not want to go back to her in laws..

She decided that she should separate from her husband.

She made the elders unhappy. Her in law’s family was also an educated family.

Her husband Rohit is a budding doctor and was aiming to become a
great cardiac surgeon.

The family had called Rohit’s family for the anniversary celebration.

 One of their grandson studying in college, asked Ramesh,
“Grand pa, how did you both compromise and live together  for 50 years
without a fight?”

Ramesh took this opportunity to mend his granddaughter.

He said, “We too had differences, fights and quarrels for many things.
But soon we would compromise and come to an understanding.
We neither went for a picnic nor visited cinema halls.
We had no comforts those days like you have now.
Our financial status did not permit us many things.
But still we loved each other. We helped each other.
We spent our leisure time at home talking pleasantly about many things.
We enjoyed each other’s company”

Priya was listening and Rohit was smiling. Seeing them Ramesh went on,
“in arranged marriages couples start loving each other after they start caring
for each other. Caring is loving. If you care  you will love.
Love is not visiting cinema halls or enjoying a picnic.
Loving couple should meet each other in their hearts  

So saying he looked at Rohit and Priya went and joined their hands.

He told them, “First start caring for each other. Then love will bloom in your hearts”

Priya and Rohit smiled at each other and all the others in the family were thrilled to
see the union of young couple.

Friends, lovers meet each other in their hearts not in parks or hotels.
