Old Movies have Rich Values

Dear Friends

Happy Afternoon

Old Bollywood movies were educative and instilling moral values

 and life lessons.

The directors of the Hindi Films were keen on picturing simple stories

in a beautiful way.

The actors and the actresses were self-motivated individuals and they

too had put up a big show.

The old Bollywood movies depicted the miniature society, its customs

 and practices.

The movies also exposed and condemned unethical and immoral practices.

Recently I watched Dhool Ka Phool, 1959 film.

DHOOL KA PHOOL is about the stigma of illegitimacy and an impassioned plea

for communal harmony.

Director: Yash Chopra

 Producer: B. R. Chopra (B. R. Films)

Starring: Rajendra Kumar, Mala Sinha, Nanda, Ashok Kumar, Mahmood

 Music: N. Dutta

Lyrics Sahir

Mahesh and Meena were once lovers but get separated and not able to marry.

Meena delivered Mahesh’s child and abandon the child.

The child was found by a kind hearted Muslim called Abdul uncle.

Abdul adopted the child and gave him the status of son.

Meanwhile Mahesh and Meena moved in their life.

Mahesh became a Magistrate and Meena married a lawyer, Jagdish.

The story is whether Mahesh and Meena recognize their illegitimate child?

Whether Abdul Chacha sacrifices his loving son Roshan?

Watch the movie and enjoy the story in the following link

This story insists on being humane, doing the right and

individual integrity should not be sacrificed at any cost
